Classification and Components of Steam Turbines: (1) Classification of Steam Turbines According to their working principle, steam turbines can be categorized into two types: impulse turbines and reaction turbines. According to their thermodynamic characteristics, they can be classified as condensing turbines, back-pressure turbines, extraction turbines, extraction-back-pressure turbines, and multi-pressure turbines.   (1) Classification of Steam Turbines
 
  According to their working principles, they can be classified into two types: impulse turbines and reaction turbines.
 
  According to their thermodynamic characteristics, steam turbines can be classified as: condensing turbines, backpressure turbines, extraction turbines, extraction-backpressure turbines, and multi-pressure turbines.
 
  According to main steam pressure, turbines can be classified as: low-pressure turbines, medium-pressure turbines, high-pressure turbines, ultra-high-pressure turbines, subcritical-pressure turbines, supercritical-pressure turbines, and ultra-supercritical-pressure turbines.
 
  (2) Components of a Steam Turbine
 
  The power plant steam turbine mainly consists of: the turbine body equipment, steam system equipment, condensate system equipment, feedwater system equipment, and other auxiliary equipment.
 
  The turbine itself mainly consists of a stationary part and a rotating part.
 
  The stationary components include: cylinders, nozzles, diaphragms, diaphragm sleeves, steam seals, bearings, and others.
 
  The rotating components include: the moving blade row, impeller, main shaft, coupling, and others.
