Iron oxide pigment
Summary:
Iron oxide green is a composite pigment formed by coupling iron oxide yellow with organic powdered pigments in the presence of various additives. It appears as a green powder, with a color range spanning from bright green to deep green. Chemically stable, it exhibits metallic luster and magnetic properties, strong opacity, excellent resistance to high temperatures and sunlight, and is poorly soluble in acids but readily soluble in water.

Product Description
Product Overview
Iron oxide green is a composite pigment produced by coupling iron oxide yellow with organic powdered pigments in the presence of various additives. It appears as a green powder, with a color range spanning from bright green to deep green. Chemically stable, it exhibits metallic luster and magnetic properties, strong opacity, and excellent resistance to high temperatures and sunlight. It is poorly soluble in acids but readily soluble in water, and remains unaffected by common concentrations of acids, alkalis, and sulfur dioxide gas in the atmosphere. Its chemical formula is Fe. 2 O 3 , H 2 O, relative density approximately 3.5–4.8 g/cm³ 3 , the color begins to change upon heating to 170°C, with lightfastness reaching level 6–7.

Product Uses
Building materials sector: Used for coloring colored cement, cement floor tiles, imitation glazed tiles, concrete products, colored mortars, colored asphalt, terrazzo, artificial marble, and more; also suitable for decorative coloring of indoor and outdoor concrete surfaces and architectural ceramics.
In the coatings and paints sector: it can be used to formulate waterborne interior and exterior wall coatings, powder coatings, and primers and topcoats based on epoxy, alkyd, amino, and other systems. It is also suitable for toy coatings, furniture coatings, and electrophoretic coatings, enhancing the rust-prevention and UV-resistant properties of paints. The recommended addition levels in paint formulations are 25–30% for primers, 20–30% for blending paints, and 15–25% for enamel paints.
Rubber and plastics field: Suitable for coloring thermosetting plastics, thermoplastic plastics, and rubber products such as automobile inner tubes and aircraft inner tubes.
Color.
Operation and Storage
Key operational points: Dust-control measures must be implemented during material loading; ensure adequate ventilation and fire prevention during application, and avoid working in rainy, high-temperature, or sub-5°C conditions; immediately rinse the spray gun and containers with water after use; never mix the mid-coat with the topcoat, and do not dilute the coating with thinners or water.
Storage Requirements: Store in a sealed container in a dry, cool place; avoid moisture and high temperatures; keep separate from acids, bases, flammable and explosive materials. The shelf life of unopened products is three years.
Security Protection
Health Hazards: Dust can cause pneumoconiosis; the maximum permissible concentration in air is 5 mg/m².
Protective measures: Wear a dust mask, eye protection, protective clothing, and gloves during operation; keep away from food, beverages, and tobacco; wash hands promptly after work.
Emergency Procedures: If inhaled, immediately move to fresh air; if skin contact occurs, rinse with soap and water; if eye contact occurs, flush eyes with copious amounts of water for 10–15 minutes.
