　　The YF415 series turbine is a single-stage backpressure turbine. Its flow passage features a double-row velocity-compounding stage. The turbine operates at speeds ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 rpm, with an output power range of 300 to 3,000 kW. The governing system can be either a mechanical-hydraulic governor, an electronic governor, or an electro-hydraulic regulation system. Lubrication is provided by a centralized forced lubrication system using dilute oil (or by self-lubrication via oil slinger rings). The turbine can be arranged either in a single-layer configuration or a double-layer configuration.

　　The outstanding advantage of the YF415 series back-pressure steam turbine is its direct coupling with driven equipment—such as fans or circulating water pumps—that operate at either 1,000 rpm or 1,500 rpm. The steam turbine itself operates at either 1,000 rpm or 1,500 rpm (while a conventional turbine typically runs at 3,000 rpm and is connected to the driven equipment via a gearbox that reduces its speed to 1,500 rpm). This eliminates the need for a gearbox and a lubrication oil station, thereby reducing procurement costs for users and saving installation space. Moreover, by removing the gearbox and lubrication oil station, the reliability and safety of the unit’s operation are significantly enhanced.

　　While ensuring the aforementioned advantages, the YF415 series back-pressure steam turbines feature a blade pitch diameter of 1600 mm. By reducing the operating speed, the peripheral velocity at the turbine’s pitch diameter remains unchanged, thus maintaining the turbine’s internal efficiency without any degradation. Moreover, the YF415 series back-pressure steam turbines exhibit excellent economic performance when operating at low speeds. This series of turbines has a very broad range of applications and is particularly well-suited for scenarios requiring gearboxes to reduce speed to low levels.

　　The YF415 series back-pressure steam turbines can also operate at a rated speed of 3,000 r/min. Due to their large blade pitch diameter, these turbines achieve an internal efficiency that is 8–12% higher than that of comparable single-stage steam turbines.
